4D/3N Exploring the Colonial Beach town of Paraty


The small coastal town of Paraty is located 125 miles (78mi) southeast of Rio. Displaying classical 18th century Portuguese colonial buildings, the town was a major gold shipping port for most of the gold from the inland province of Minas Gerais. Today it has become a major international destination for sophisticated tourists seeking sunshine, spectacular beaches (including snorkeling and scuba), active adventures and a tast of Brazil’s colonial history.
